Service Rules

  • A person shall be appointed to the service when his/her appointment is made to a post in accordance with the existing AICTE norms.
  • Every appointee shall be subject to the conditions that he/she is certified as in sound mental health and physically fit for service by a medical authority as specified from time to time.
  • Pay of teaching and non-teaching staff shall be as fixed by selection committee in accordance with scale of pay prescribed by AICTE.

Policy related to increments

          Increments will be sanctioned only on satisfactory report of performance of employee. An increment of the employee may be withheld, if his/her conduct is not good or work is not satisfactory.  The authority ordering such withholding of increment shall state the period for which it is withheld and whether withholding of increment shall have the effect for postponing the future increments also. 

Procedure of recruitment

The procedure as specified by AICTE in regulation, dated 5th March, 2010

  • Faculty members

Recruitment to all cadres is based strictly on merit. Selection is done by duly constituted committees.  As per University guidelines, recruitment procedure is adopted in selection of faculty members.

  • Non-teaching staff

Direct recruitment to all cadres, strictly based on merit, is done by duly constituted committee.

Grievance redressal mechanism

Institute constituted Central Grievance Redressal Cell as per the guidelines of AICTE, Central Government and Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Institution ensures that grievances are promptly attended and resolved effectively through following mechanisms to promote better stakeholder relationship.

  • To redress, grievances of faculty/staff members and students.
  • To assist college administration, number of committees are formed to attend and resolve grievances/complaints of students and faculty/staff
  • Students can directly meet to Principal/Dean Students welfare regarding their grievances.
  • Anti-ragging committee to prevent ragging
  • Women’s Grievance Redressal Committee to address related issues
  • Grievances are also understood through feedback given by staff/faculty members, students, industries and parents.

All grievances related to academics are discussed with concern HODs and resolved at earliest.
