Message from the department Head

Institute has started Electronics Engineering Dept. in the year 1992 to cater growing needs of industry for Electronics professionals. In 1992 intake capacity was 60. In 2013 intake capacity was increased to 120. The P. G. was started in 2012 with intake of 18. The Electronics Department is reputed for its knowledgeable, hardworking and caring faculty members as well as enthusiastic, intelligent and disciplined students. Electronics Department is well known for presenting consistently good academic results and excelling in co- curricular as well as extra-curricular activities.

The department has well-qualified and experienced faculty. All are post-graduates with experience more than 4 years. Two faculty members have completed their Ph.D. and one is Pursuing Ph.D. The department is well equipped with spacious laboratories, which cater to testing of electronic circuits as well as academic needs.

To contribute to the growth of technical education by providing competent technical manpower with high ethical values.

Mission –

To prepare students of high quality with sound knowledge of both theory and practice in Electronics Engineering and also exposing them to latest technology in the industry.
We also believe in providing them knowledge of self confidence, positive attitude and soft skills.
We dedicate ourselves to carry out Research and Development through students projects & Industry Institute Interaction (III).

State the Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):

To provide students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific & Engg. fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problem.
To develop the ability in students to synthesize data and technical concepts for application to product design.
To prepare students for successful carrier in industry for meeting requirements of Indian & overseas companies.
To prepare students for higher studies and getting qualified for various competitive examinations.
To promote awareness in students regarding lifelong learning and to introduce them with professional ethics and codes of professional practice.
To induce the aptitude of students to work as a effective team member in multidisciplinary projects.
To prepare students for effective communication and interpersonal kills.
To prepare students to use state of art technologies and tools to solve problems relevant to society.
To promote students for leadership and entrepreneurship.

Program Outcomes (POs):

At the end of successul completion of program, the graduates will be able to,

Engineering knowledge: Able to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization for the solution of complex engineering problems.
Problem analysis: Able to identify, formulate, research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
Design/development of solutions: Able to design solutions for complex engineering problems and design System components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems: Able to use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern tool usage: Able to create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
The engineer and society: Able to apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
Environment and sustainability: Able to understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
Ethics: Able to apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

Graduate will demonstrate basic knowledge in mathematics, sciences, Electronics engineering and technology.
Graduate will demonstrate the ability to identify , model and solve electronics engineering problem related to local, global and societal context.
Graduates will be familiar with modern engineering software tools and equipments for applying Electronics engineering.
Graduates will demonstrate an understanding of their professional and ethical responsibilities.
